More Thoughts on English Teaching

Teaching English is a fascinating look into the human brain. The methods taught in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) are among the most realistic methods of teaching I've observed. In the way sewing it stitches cloth together, the TEFL methods "stitch" the material into students' brains. Teachers elicit all new material then ask question after question to solidify the material. Students end up generating every answer themselves, teaching each other, and doing as much speaking as possible. Teachers should talk as little as possible or even be silent at times.
