I'm living with a host family in the Florida neighborhood of Cusco, Peru. There are 3 other students staying here from Brazil, Australia, and Seattle. After 2 weeks of tourism, I'm enrolled in a 4-week course teaching English as a second language (TEFL). It's a unique education method in which the teacher only speaks in a language learners don't know. Teachers elicit much from students and talk little. Explaining is a bad word. Most topics are framed as questions. It's a completely different education model, and my brain likes it.
