Yesterday, I hiked and hiked. I ventured to Cristo Blanco, the famous depiction of Jesus that looks over the city of Cusco. I learned that many parts of the statue were built in my neighborhood before being finally erected here. It's about 26 ft high.
One of my favorite photos.
To get to Cristo, I walked up flight after flight of stairs until Cusco looked like this below me. It's so tight and orderly. You can see the Cathedral in the Main Square on the center right.
Many of the houses have little bulls built right into the roofs for good luck.
Across from Cristo is the Temple of the Moon, another Incan Ruin free for the public to wander around.
A textured view from inside the Temple.
