So, I've been back in the USA for about a month or so. It's fascinating what living abroad offers in terms of perspective. I've made two observations about being back in the USA aware that my international time will continue soon.
First, when people talk about the USA, I've noticed that people tend to extrapolate out to the rest of the world. Like things are in a certain fashion here, so the world must be operating in a certain way. It's fair that where you live is your point of orientation. I'm just pleased to say that there are many places in the world that are not interested in the US who are going about their daily business.
Another corset inspired by Kahlo created by Rei Kawakubo in 2012. This was on display at the museum.
Second, having a break from political and social commentary is a gift I would recommend to everyone. Information saturation is showing a painful side to me.
Rest well, all. I'll be checking in next week from California.
