Getting Clear

The biggest challenge, without question, of my vocational life (I like that better than professional life) is getting CLEAR on something. Asking enough questions, looping around enough times, risking being annoying in repeating it and repeating it to actually get clear. It makes me understand that people often must go to a place, to experience it, and then maybe understand it. That said, I am not sure I understand most places. I think pretty much the only way to be clear is to ask questions (not too many) and just be somewhere until the dots start connecting.

An example. I drank a delicious cocktail last night. I wanted to know what it was. So, I took the extra seconds to ask the bartender. He gave me the recipe. He said:

  • Cachaca (Brazilian Liquor)

  • Honey

  • Chuchuhuasi (local plant native to Amazonia)
