Getting Out of the Hole

So, I have been working hard. Most notably, I am not resisting the work I need to do and not deciding whether or not I will do it. I just do it as it has already been decided I will do it. It helps. It keeps me from dawdling, hiding, getting off topic, or zoning out. It is better to stay focused. I have a productivity app that keeps me from feeling too disjointed. A dumptruck away from being overwhelmed.

What can be harder: when you don´t know how to handle a specific problem. You want to move along, you are ready to be proactive, and you have talked it through with yourself. After this: You are not sure if you just feel incompetent or unsure. You don´t like those feelings. You happen to meet with a friend at a coffeeshop who is chatty and organizes all your thoughts for you. He has done all the reading. He tells you what is hard about what you want, what might be missing, and what might be off base. You realize that was the cost of admission alone.
