I often forget what a big deal it is to drink water out of the faucet. What infastructure it requires, what time it saves, what plastic does not go into the ocean.

I think about the years of work that it takes for a country to have an entire system housing water safe enough to drink. It is something really, really easy to take for granted until you live in a place where you can´t drink the water directly. You realize that in Canada, people made this change happen at some point.

As a result, many points in my day change. I do not spend money buying water or boiling it. I can just turn on the tap and drink.
