Wow, what a privilege. I am so excited to have arrived at the Women Deliver conference in Vancouver for many reasons both personal and professional. Yesterday, I was watching the opening plenary session with 3 African heads of state, three activists, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. I was amazed at the vulnerability of their dialogue and what it looks like when leaders show up in their own messy and visibly real states.
I loved Prime Minister Justin Trudeau mentioning the importance of admitting mistakes. He was fresh water up there admitting that he could be wrong. He talked about the progress of learning over time. I wrote this down in my notebook.
Before it could be 2015, it had to be 2014. Before it was 2014, it had to be 2013.
These words have been so true. Before I wrote a daily blog, I wrote a weekly blog. Before that, I read daily blogs to learn how helpful they can be.
