A Gracious Visit Back to the Motherland

I arrived in Kansas City in a heap last night.

I walked into what everyone deserves…a warm home with full hearted people. I overflow with my family. I also saw the exceptional 30 Americans Exhibit at the Nelson Adkins Museum. For necessary and often painful conversations on race and identity, community, and history mixed with the present.

We cooked dinner, and I am reminded why family can be such a helpful and inspirational concept.

I get to live in many worlds. I get to make a ruckus. I have my community from Women Deliver. I have so many dear friends in Peru and KC. I have intimacy and connection. I get to do what I feel is most important. I am so blessed it is mind boggling. So, there. I said it again.
