I am pretty sure my favorite human value, of all human values, is generousity. The principle is deeply multifaceted and it can be applied to the context of everything. You can also argue that anything can be done with generousity in mind.
Note…to be generous to others you must fundamentally care for your own self.
I would like to take this a step further and say that generousity with your own self counts too. It does not come very naturally to me. Caring for yourself is a requisite to functional, sane human beings. Generousity of the self actually means, at least personally, you might enjoy doing something for yourself rather than simply have a bedside manner towards your own human-ness. I find the act of actually going out of your way to be nice, rather than merely acting from obligation, makes me a more grateful, kinder, and generally better person.
If I want to create things as an abiding priority in my life, I will do so as a person who puts their work into the world and as a person who wants to receive and appreciate these delicious works of others. Perhaps this is just a disguised way for me to say that I want to enjoy, really enjoy things. Maybe because being a person means both sides of being a person, in both the taking and the receiving.
