A Dentist Appointment and the Bus

I went to the dentist today. Going at all is a big deal. It is so easy to not do.

For the first time in about year, I had no cavities.

It took a series of 7 visits including today to arrive at that point. At the first visit, I had 8 cavities. 6 months later I only had 2. I had to go and go and go again. It was extremely out of the way.

Today, I had no cavities which I celebrated. I could understand my dentists very mumbly Spanish a little better. I did no better with the Venezuelan hygenist´s accent though. I also only took 2 buses to get there instead of the 5 I took six months ago. I kind of knew where it was. I felt more competent, however, not super competent.

I think what is important is that I went back to the dentist and took however many buses I needed to get there. The fact that I have been 7 times in 1 year helped.

This is what progress looks like in my life, and now I have noticed it.
