When I hear Peruvians speak English

It occurred to me today that when I hear Peruvian people speaking English, it sounds like their words are crossing an often uncrossed divide.

Learning (and actually being willing to speak) a language other than your native tongue is an act of generousity and willingness. Many Peruvians would say, it is also of necessity. Regardless, it is an act of faith, connection, profound vulnerability, and intention.
