I have had a migraine for more than 4 days. It’s not been constant, but on and off. Headaches (and perhaps stomachaches) are in their own class of pain and disorientation in my opinion. I am not sure how people with chronic pain, or without regular access to headache medicine manage in the world. I find myself speechless, and unable to really compute that reality. I sat in the home where I grew up, head filled with pain, and I thought of people with no access to meds whatsoever. Not only do they have a migraine, but they simply hope that cups of coffee will make it go away eventually.
Friends, I find this to be a moral imperative. People need to heal their headaches. This is not a way for a person to live.
