I was watching the Peru-Brazil soccer game tonight with friends in Iquitos.

There was an exceptional amount of drama in the game. Players losing it over the referee. Players dramatically falling to the ground. Tension. A lot of memes popped up after that players need to learn how to walk across the field without a stroller.

I played for eight years as a kid. It’s really the only sport I have ever played consistently. I loved it. At the end of each game, we had to march down a line with the other players, giving each a high five, saying “goodgamegoodgamegoodgamegoodgame.” I recalled that memory while watching the Peru game and laughed aloud at the irony.

There is something about teaching seven year olds this is how we treat each other in a normal game of soccer that might be of benefit to these adults.

Estaba viendo el partido de fútbol Perú-Brasil esta noche con unos amiges en Iquitos.

Hubo una cantidad excepcional de drama en el juego. Los jugadores perdiéndolo por el árbitro. Jugadores cayendo dramáticamente al suelo. Tensión. Aparecieron muchos memes después de que los jugadores necesitan aprender a caminar por el campo sin un cochecito.

Hay algo acerca de enseñar a los niños de siete años esta es la forma en que nos tratamos unos a otros en un juego normal de fútbol que podría ser de beneficio para estos adultos.
