I find the entire notion of age and aging fascinating. Why?

Age is such a variant and flexible thing.
Age is often associated with limitation and traditionalism. Which isn´t a rule.
People in middle age can seem close to the end of their lives.
Maturity is associated with age but it also operates in it´s own way taking it´s own time.

Yes, people usually get more mature as they get older but not in all ways and at the same time.

Maturity also has to do with facing the music about our lives not just having more years pass. As Joni Mitchell said,

“As a young person, you’ve got to pull the weeds in your soul when you’re young. Otherwise they will choke you.”

Encuentro fascinante toda la noción de la edad y el envejecimiento. ¿Por qué?

La edad es una cosa tan variante y flexible.
La edad se asocia a menudo con la limitación y el tradicionalismo. Lo cual no es una regla.
La gente de mediana edad puede parecer que está cerca del final de sus vidas.
La madurez se asocia con la edad, pero también funciona a su manera, tomando su propio tiempo.

Sí, la gente suele madurar a medida que envejece, pero no de todas las maneras y al mismo tiempo.

La madurez también tiene que ver con enfrentar la música sobre nuestras vidas no sólo con el paso de los años. Como dijo Joni Mitchell,

"Como una persona joven, tienes que arrancar las malas hierbas de tu alma cuando eres joven. De lo contrario, te ahogarán."
