I had been a bit disheartened by my favorite pizza place on my street. It has this huge open second floor balcony, and I loved the combined experience of watching others but crawling inside my own journal while writing. But it´s too expensive I very recently realized. Honestly, the pizza lacked flavor. Hard to say that.

I had not been back for awhile, and it was sad. I don´t have a ton of options. But tonight, I saw a new pizza place. They were literally making pizza by the front door, with a cute wood oven fired up. I have walked past this place hundreds of times and never entered. They had a second floor.

I ventured in, nervous. Was this going to be worth stepping through the door? I sat at the back at the second floor, where I would sit if they had a balcony. The pizza I just ate, was officially better than the other place. They place was cozier, more like a living room in Kansas City. I am happier now, after eating there than I was at the first spot.

Perhaps venturing can nurture us in addition to taking on some kind of risk.

Estaba un poco desanimada por mi pizzería favorita de mi calle. Tiene un enorme balcón abierto en el segundo piso, y me encantó la experiencia combinada de ver a los demás pero arrastrándome dentro de mi propio diario mientras escribía. Pero es demasiado caro, me di cuenta hace poco. Honestamente, a la pizza le faltaba sabor. Es difícil de decir.

No había regresado por un tiempo, y fue triste. No tengo muchas opciones. Pero esta noche, vi una nueva pizzería. Estaban literalmente haciendo pizza en la puerta principal, con un lindo horno de leña encendido. He pasado por este lugar cientos de veces y nunca he entrado. Tenían un segundo piso.

Me aventuré a entrar, nerviosa. ¿Valdría la pena pasar por la puerta? Me senté atrás en el segundo piso, donde me sentaría si tuvieran un balcón. La pizza que acababa de comer, era oficialmente mejor que la del otro lugar. El lugar era más acogedor, más como una sala de estar en Kansas City. Ahora soy más feliz, después de comer allí, que en el primer lugar.

Tal vez el aventurarse puede nutrirnos además de tomar algún tipo de riesgo.
