The Art of Asking

Ernest Hemingway said: “Most people never listen.”

I, too, haven´t listened.

It´s not that I don´t care. It´s often a matter of being wrapped inside the blanket fort of your own brain aware we need escaping from ourselves. We are here to exit outside ourselves. And ironically, to return again too. Funny how that loops happens.

If we believe in generousity, the task could be simple. Asking about something that has nothing to do with us. With me. With what is currently on my mind and what I need to do today.

You, moral human, are asking me not because you have a related project, but because you care enough to be generous. Because you believe in the extension of value outside oneself. I want to be that person too.
