Over the weekend, I went to the beach to meet a friend’s family. And the woman who was hustling people onto the boat was trying to get everyone on her boat, the one going to Playa Lupuna.
I was immediately struck by how much energy her process seemed to consume.
If we pause to consider it, we already have a direction of where our lives our going, and we rarely set out looking to change it on a random Sunday afternoon at 5 pm. I already knew which beach my friend would be at. I didn’t need help in deciding.
I think one of the great wastes of energy in life is trying to get disinterested people to go where we are going.
These are all the numbered days of our lives. Our time is very limited.
There are also lot of easygoing folks who also want what you want, who were already planning on the Playa Lupuna. Who didn’t need to be convinced.
These are the people for your life energy.
Somewhere along the Marañón
El fin de semana fui a la playa a ver a la familia de un amigo. La mujer que subía a la gente al barco intentaba que todos subieran al suyo, el que iba a Playa Lupuna.
Me impresionó inmediatamente la cantidad de energía que parecía consumir su proceso.
Si nos paramos a pensarlo, ya tenemos una dirección para nuestras vidas, y rara vez salimos a cambiarla un domingo al azar a las 5 de la tarde. Yo ya sabía en qué playa estaría mi amigo. No necesitaba ayuda para decidirme.
Creo que uno de los grandes malgastos de energía en la vida es intentar que personas desinteresadas vayan a donde nosotros vamos.
Son días contados en nuestras vidas. Nuestro tiempo es muy limitado.
Tambien hay mucha gente desinteresada que tambien quiere lo que tu quieres, que ya estaban planeando en la Playa Lupuna. Que no necesitaban ser convencidos.
Estas son las personas para su energía de la vida.
