While in Mexico City a couple of weeks ago, I visited "The Blue House". It's the famous home of Mexican painter Frida Kahlo whom she shared with Diego Rivera. She is famous in the rich history of Mexican art, and it was a joy to pay her a visit.
Gazing at a famous photograph taken by Nickolas Muray of the artist. Many of these photos were taken by my friend Megan Smock.
Megan and I gazing into her mirror.
Kahlo's bed with embroderiered pillows and butterflies for gazing!
Kahlo's workspace
This pillow is a favorite of mine. It's embroidery reads, "Despierta corazon dormido" which translates to "Wake Up Sleeping Heart".
Piece by Diego Rivera called Paisaje Marino from 1955.
