Four photos

I'm quiet this week-- busy with studying TEFL and Spanish. My sharing comes in photo form.

These are the Maras Salt Mines, located a short bus ride from Cusco. They are ancient salt evaporation ponds, and they are still in use by community members today.

A pisco sour, the classic Peruvian Cocktail and choclo, Peruvian corn. This is from a lunch I ate last week.

Near my school in Cusco is Coricancha. It was formerly the Incan Sun Temple. The Spanish built the Church of Santo Domingo on the site. There are mummies in the underground museum, and parts of it are still used as a convent today.

This was purchased on floating islands of Uros in Lake Titicaca in Southeastern Peru.  The huge lake shares a watery border with Bolivia.
