On Newness

March 17, 2018

Welcome to the weirdly-shaped and sometimes painful, beginning-of-a-process. Interesting to note that I have now shaped parts of my life differently than 6 weeks ago, 1 year ago, or 3 years ago. That said, I firmly believe it's best to decide get "dealt into the game" even when we are so unclear what will happen with said new thing we have courageously decided to begin.

I am starting doing public health work after year-and-change hiatus. I am working in Spanish, a meaty and often wonky, first. I am living in a new city with painful hours and hours of traffic to be avoided.  I am doing public health work in an area of huge need. It's uncomfortable, and I truly understand why people avoid newness. I am honest, but I am simultaneously grateful to be starting a new process, once again. Stay with me here as I think this will get more-and-more interesting.
