Salt Water

So, speaking Spanish is like swimming in salt water to me. Speaking English is more like swimming in fresh water. There is also the Spanglish mix which is brackish (the salt-fresh mix). I like swimming in most contexts in general, and I prefer saltwater right now. It is imperfect. It is messy. It contains many errors and starfish. It contains vulnerability.

I prefer getting into the real ocean while in Perú. I am finding the water temperature, waves and surfing more and more comfortable. Surfing is common in Lima. There are strange creatures inside the water, many creatures who are not familiar. Sometimes you get sucked under huge waves and you are completely disoriented. This can happen in fresh water too, but the real ocean life is where I am currently swimming. I think the biggest topics is simply the decision to have gotten in!
