…in response to how work-focused I have been in Iquitos:
Savor
your
life. Wrap Iquitos around you.
It seems like it is more or less easy for me to drive very intensely with what I want to accomplish professionally. So much of the time. Makes me remember where I am from. But what is critical to remember here is that when you have worked toward something for such a time, you actually need to experience being “in place”. That place where your experience collides with what you have wanted to see happen. One must really feel these experiences including experiencing mud, rain, novels, rivers, people, beaches, movies, boats, food, art, and adventure. And also amazing projects.
So, a change of focus it is then. I am pleased to say that I can learn. I am rolling around Iquitos like a pig in the mud.
