The Time Things Take

If you really put rigor, energy, and effort into something that you create, it takes time. It means writing then rewriting then making sure it is correct than changing it then eventually sharing it.

If you want to quote someone correctly or get the facts straight, it takes time to check and be sure.

If you really want to work with a team, you need to give people time to understand what is going on, comment on it, change it after having the tough dialogue required, and then keep going.

If you watch how long it takes people in Iquitos to print off a bill at a restaurant or check you out a grocery store, it takes a lot of time.

If you want to thoroughly clean your new apartment, washing all the dishes in the kitchen there before, this takes time.

If you want to send an email and the wifi is down in Iquitos, it might take an entire day or two to be sent.

If you want to get through heartache, that takes a lot of time too.
