When you are sitting in a room making a clear effort to understand and not be nervous, you can feel really vulnerable. When you feel vulnerable, your thinking can become more perfectionistic. It can be easy to obsess over every word saying them correctly, thinking this will make it better. Of course, it is good to not hide from vulnerability as it seems to be the doorway to say many critical, beautiful things. It is also true that the need to just remind yourself what is true and helpful is welcome. “This is tough.”

If you're not in the arena getting your butt kicked too, I'm not interested in your feedback.
