An Inner Life

To be vigilant about your inner life, to mind your own mental catacombs, is hard work. The graves we have dug inside ourselves are often hard to know about. They are harder still, to deal with.

I am serious. The more experience I get in life, the more compassion I develop for this. What do I really know anyway?

To be careful with other people, to not go “tribal”, to not be a jerk or overreact when you just need to care for yourself, this is also something to note with real honesty.

I am pragmatic in the way I think about things, but I am also obsessed with why. I think helping other people is often far overrated to the need to first help ourselves.
