When you break the ice in yourself, you can see the ripple effects elsewhere. For example, I am focused on dealing with resistance to things and getting to work that matters. I focus on using dead pieces of time doing small tasks to reduce stress. The ripples go out, I develop some new habits, and I become more myself.
Before, I made myself do some difficult reading. I stayed in the chair. Later, I sit at a therapy appointment and I can speak in detail about something because I knew a bit more.
Because I am writing daily, I more clearly describe how I am feeling. I wrote my ideas down and shared them and now have a new conversation topic at dinner. The ripples go out.
