Firmer Ground

I started my full time job today. I think a full adult life with a regular job is a big deal. Maybe even an underrated deal. I have been surprised how much this has meant to me. The sexy notion of escaping, having no posessions and moving to a new country in your 30´s has an appeal. Sure… got that. But I think that path is often overrated because is often reactionary.

What also feels good is… to be grounded. Consistency, schedules (as unsexy as it felt to write that) and regular money mean a lot too If you want to move and shake in the world, firm ground to stand on is necessary. Ground that you have built over time. I think it actually provides the greater substance of human life.
