I find that there is this ancient perfectionistic concept that says… you should be excited about every new opportunity that comes your way. You should jump up and down with each new possibility as a person who seeks to be opened and to expand. That said, that is often not the case with me. I think a more realistic statement is something like,

“yeah, ok.”

Notice that in there is a yes. In there is a willingness, but it lacks enthuiasum. It just means that yes, I will do it. I started my new job that way. I got on a bus when I was really tired. It happened again last Friday when I committed to going to Carabayllo when I was tired. But I suppose, the bigger topic is simply a neutral (and selective) yes, instead of a no.
