Perhaps the location of the physical human body (with its shape, composition, and mind-bending variation) in social contexts deserves a larger conversation on this blog. The way that our bodies meet other bodies in social settings, or are home alone during COVID, fascinates me.

I can say that the pure fleshiness of the experience makes this very reality a more tangible one. We are here in this space, our skin occuping the space it occupies however that happens. I think one specific gift of is that this “embodiedness” isn´t cerebral. It´s walking outside, feeling the incredible heat of Iquitos, swimming and biking, and drinking water. Remembering this draws me towards remembering how my fingers make this blog happen.

Tal vez la ubicación del cuerpo humano físico (con su forma, composición y varaciones alucinantes) en los contextos sociales merezca una conversación más amplia en este blog. La forma en que nuestros cuerpos se encuentran con otros cuerpos en contextos sociales, o están solos en casa durante COVID, me fascina.

Puedo decir que la pura carnosidad de la experiencia hace que esta misma realidad sea más tangible. Estamos aquí en este espacio, nuestra piel ocupando el espacio que ocupa, como sea que eso suceda. Creo que un don específico es que esta "encarnación" no es cerebral. Es caminar afuera, sentir el increíble calor de Iquitos, nadar y andar en bicicleta, y beber agua. Recordar esto me lleva a considerar que los dedos hacen que este blog suceda.
