In 2014, I went to an exhibition in New York of sculptor Jeff Koons, quite a character.

As I was sitting today, an image of his over-the-top iconic work creeped into my mind. To me, it represents my current visual gazing at the state of healthcare systems globally, with all their messy parts. HIs piece called “Play-Doh” was created between 1994 and 2014, a 20 year project in creation. It was debuted at the Whitney show, It represents the squishy, confusing nature of objets with whom we interact, all together, larger than life in the room made of polychromed aluminum. To gain a little perspective, I recommend standing in the gallery (online) and simply gazing at it as it’s far taller than a person is.

En 2014, fui a una exposición en New York del escultor Jeff Koons, todo un personaje.

Mientras estaba sentado hoy, una imagen de su obra icónica se deslizó en mi mente. Para mí, representa mi actual mirada visual del estado de los sistemas de salud a nivel mundial, con todas sus partes desordenadas. Su pieza llamada "Play-Doh" fue creada entre 1994 y 2014, un proyecto de 20 años de duración. Representa la naturaleza blanda y confusa de los objetos con los que interactuamos, todos juntos, más grandes que la vida en una habitación de aluminio policromado. Para ganar un poco de perspectiva, recomiendo pararse en la galería (en linea) y simplemente mirarla ya que es mucho más alta que una persona.
