Thanks for taking the time

I opened an email today. A friend had written:

Thanks for taking the time…

This “taking the time” had meant three things: an investment in time, energy, and attention. It required what Isaac Newton called, ¨”patient thought”. Perhaps it´s the work of considered grown-ups.

Gracias por tomarse el tiempo...

Este "tomarse el tiempo" había significado tres cosas: una inversión en tiempo, energía y atención. Requería lo que Isaac Newton llamó, ¨ "el pensamiento del paciente". Tal vez es el trabajo de los adultos considerados.
