Maturity is the ability to live fully and equally in multiple contexts, most expecially, despite our grief and losses, to courageously inhabit the past, the present, and the future all at once.

I think the most painful parts of decision-making often reside in remembering not how I feel right now, but how I have felt in the past or how I might feel in the present.
