I received a massage from a woman who has worked with a lot of expats in Iquitos. She said my body resembled a Peruvian body more than someone from the US. I´ve puzzled over the meaning of this for the last few months. Perhaps I´ve relaxed significantly.

Perhaps this connects a recent goal of living in second gear. Neither striving too hard nor asleep at the wheel. Peruvians are marvelous at this.

What if that was a “project” on my agenda in an of itself? To live in second gear?

Recibí un masaje de una mujer que ha trabajado con muchas expatriadas en Iquitos. Dijo que mi cuerpo se parecía más al de un peruano que al de un estadounidense. He estado pensando en el significado de esto durante los últimos meses. Tal vez me he relajado significativamente.

Tal vez esto conecta un objetivo reciente de vivir en segunda velocidad. Ni esforzarse demasiado ni dormirse al volante. Los peruanos son maravillosos en esto.

¿Y si eso fuera un "proyecto" en mi agenda en sí mismo? ¿Vivir en segunda velocidad?
