Hands

As I sit here and type this, I gazed down to look at my hands on the keyboard. I have slender hands.

There is no doubt. I am writing this with my Mother´s hands.

My mother is a writer with her notebooks and pencils and pens. The shape of my knuckles, the movement between each finger. Their curve as they type each word on this keyboard. The attention they give as I sit here and write.

These are hands from her. And from her mother and from how many mothers before her?

Mientras me siento a escribir esto, miro hacia abajo para ver mis manos sobre el teclado. Tengo manos delgadas.

No hay duda. Estoy escribiendo esto con las manos de mi madre.

Mi madre es una escritora con sus cuadernos, lápices y lapiceros. La forma de mis nudillos, el movimiento entre cada dedo. Su curva al escribir cada palabra en este teclado. La atención que prestan mientras me siento aquí y escribo.

Estas son manos de ella. Y de su madre y de cuántas madres antes que ella.
