One could go to the desert.
One could sit on a plane for hours with no phone or book.
One could go on a silent retreat with walks in the woods.
Or
one could lie for days and days in a hospital bed.
If our minds are white boards, perhaps what we need is to get really, really bored.
Who gets this opportunity, this luxuriousness quietness, really?
To take out the Q-tips and clean the dirty corners of our white boards built over time.
Instead of focusing on what is there, let´s talk about what isn´t.

The more I laid there, the more nothingness I played with my hands, the more creative ideas attacked me. Perhaps what our brains want in addition, to content, is no content.
Also, when my fellow twelve people hospital ward mates looked up from their nearly constantly sleeping or nothingness, everyone looked quite refreshed.

uno persona podría estar acostado durante días y días en una cama de hospital.
Si nuestras mentes son pizarras blancas, quizás lo que necesitamos es aburrirnos mucho, mucho.
¿Quién tiene esta oportunidad, esta lujosa tranquilidad, realmente?
De sacar los hisopos y limpiar los rincones sucios de nuestras pizarras blancas construidas con el tiempo.
En lugar de centrarnos en lo que hay, hablemos de lo que no hay.

Cuanto más me tumbaba, cuanto más jugaba a la nada con mis manos, más ideas creativas me atacaban. Tal vez lo que nuestro cerebro quiere además, de contenido, es que no haya contenido.
Además, cuando mis compañeros y compañeras de sala de hospital levantaron la vista de su sueño casi constante o de la nada, todos parecían bastante renovados.
