You are more welcomed on the airplane if you have their credit card than if you are not.
There is something extra special that American Airlines credit card holders get that other people don’t get.
We see this in most parts of society. You are welcomed into capitalism if you are considered productive. If you have something that people want to buy, if your contribution is deemed valuable.
But if you aren’t considered valuable, you are unwelcomed, in fact. You are explicitly unwanted.
We don’t want you here if you don’t have money to spend at our zany hyped-up mall.
You might be able to walk in the door but you will be reminded an endless number of reminders that you don’t belong. Because the only want to enter to play the arcade games is to pay.
And if you can’t pay?
What do we owe to one another?
What is our responsibility when we remember basic value isn’t derived from someone’s opinion? We agree on value because that’s what the market says? Why?
Value is woven into our basic existence whether not other people see it. The system needs to reflect that.

Los titulares de tarjetas de crédito de American Airlines tienen algo especial que los demás no tienen.
Lo vemos en la mayor parte de la sociedad. Eres bienvenida al capitalismo si te consideran productivo. Si tienes algo que la gente quiere comprar, si tu contribución se considera valiosa.
Pero si no se te considera valioso, no eres bienvenido, de hecho. Eres explícitamente no deseado.
No te queremos aquí si no tienes dinero para gastar en nuestro alocado centro comercial.
Podrás entrar por la puerta, pero se te recordará un sinfín de veces que no perteneces. Porque lo único que quieres para entrar a jugar a los juegos recreativos es pagar.
¿Y si no puedes pagar?
¿Qué nos debemos los unos a los otros?
¿Cuál es nuestra responsabilidad cuando recordamos que el valor básico no se deriva de la opinión de alguien? ¿Estamos de acuerdo en el valor porque eso es lo que dice el mercado? ¿Por qué?
El valor está entretejido en nuestra existencia básica, independientemente de que otras personas no lo vean. El sistema debe reflejarlo.
