Here’s the truth. There are people who care a lot more about homeless cats and dogs than I do.
And when I am with other people on the street, and they are very concerned, I get a little more concerned.
Maybe that’s part of th joy of having friends who are so different than you. I don’t need a bunch of versions of me, despite what my subconscious ego says. We are more interesting when we aren’t all the same. When I see people who are really worried about dogs’ mange or they bring all the kittens home with them, I think about those animals a little bit differently.
If what I secretly want is for people to be the same as me, I am missing out on nearly everything.
Not so homeless cat
Esta es la verdad. Hay gente que se preocupa mucho más que yo por los perros y gatos sin hogar.
Y cuando estoy con otras personas en la calle y se preocupan mucho, yo me preocupo un poco más.
Quizá eso sea parte de la alegría de tener amigos tan diferentes a ti. No necesito un montón de versiones de mí, a pesar de lo que diga mi ego subconsciente. Somos más interesantes cuando no somos todos iguales. Cuando veo a gente muy preocupada por la sarna de los perros o que se llevan todos los gatitos a casa, pienso en esos animales de forma un poco diferente.
Si lo que quiero en secreto es que la gente sea igual que yo, me estoy perdiendo casi todo.
