I bought one really wonderful pencil while in the US.

I’m a writer, and writers care about these kind of things.

I bought a new pencil sharpener to accompany it. As it turns out, the sharpener is more useful than the pencil.

Why?

Because, I use a lot of different pencils. Not just one.

The right tool and the regular act of sharpening in fact is more important than the thing itself.
