“In life and business, the person with the fewest blind spots wins. Removing blind spots means we see, interact with, and move closer to understanding reality.”

There are various ways to extract ourselves from our own suffering, and all of them require some level of interest in actually doing it. And it means having a level of interest in how other people see and experience us outside of how we see ourselves. That means stepping over the threshold of our own ego.

Perhaps you didn’t feel like shining a flashlight into that cave?

I’ve long been a strong proponent of useful and consistent third parties. Even small comments from friends can make a big difference… this is what I see.

I think that once we hear the feedback, we can’t unhear it

I think this is it’s so challenging. Other people see things we can’t. We simply can’t see ourselves.

Hay varias formas de extraernos de nuestro propio sufrimiento, y todas ellas requieren un cierto nivel de interés en hacerlo realmente. Y significa tener un nivel de interés en cómo los demás nos ven y experimentan fuera de cómo nos vemos a nosotros mismos. Eso significa superar el umbral de nuestro propio ego.

¿Quizás no te apetece iluminar esa cueva con una linterna?

Hace tiempo que soy un firme defensor de los terceros útiles y coherentes. Incluso los pequeños comentarios de los amiges pueden marcar una gran diferencia... esto es lo que veo.

Creo que esto es un reto. Los demás ven cosas que nosotros no podemos. Simplemente no podemos vernos a nosotras mismas.
